5. D-Mark V Cyclone:
The Franklin Telecom Cyclone product is a communications controller for terminating T-1 lines into voice and data which allows an ISP or corporation data center to utilizes T1 lines then mix and match outputs for voice and modem applications. This rich combination of choices will allow easy scalability.
The voice lines can be connected to existing modems while growing the number of total modems in a Network center without discarding existing capital equipment. The voice cards allow remote PBX implementation and remote extension ringing. Upgrades to 56k and various mixtures are field ready.
Accepts a T-1 Span from the Telco. Several T-1 cards can be installed in a chassis for "Drop & Insert" applications.
The T-1 is D4 / Super Frame and Extended Super Frame Framing support.
AMI or B8ZS coding is software selectable.
The T-1 can be for local (DSX) or Central Office with built in Channel Service Unit (CSU).
Provides both voice and Modem outputs in groups of 8 ports up to 24 ports per chassis.
The Modem outputs are V.34, V42 bis, 28.8 kb/s & 33.6kb/s. MVIP compatible.
The Voice ports can be Loop Start or Ground Start. MVIP compatible.
Each Voice port is a Central Office, "FXS" appearance and has built in Ringer for a Modem, Telephone or PBX or, "FXO" appearance to receive a ringing extension type interface.
The Analog Voice Cards and the Modem Cards are MVIP Compliant.
Each Chassis can be stacked and connected via a 32 channel DIN connector.
Each system includes a 32 channel "Cross Point Switch" which allows the customer to configure each line in to be routed to a specific output port controlled by software.
